Detroit: Beyond Human Developer Quantic Dream Could Be Working on a Star Wars Game

Quantic Dream has been working on a game called Detroit since last year, which is set in the cyberpunk future of 2038. It’s unclear what the developer is doing with this project, but it could be an indication that they are interested in expanding their portfolio to include Star Wars games.

Quantic Dream, the developer behind Beyond: Two Souls, could be working on a Star Wars game. The company has been working on an unannounced project for Disney Interactive Studios.

Following Detroit: Beyond Human, Quantic Dream’s next project may be a Star Wars-themed game.

DualShockers blogger and industry insider Tom Henderson hinted to the idea this morning when he tweeted a picture of crossed lightsabers on top of one of Detroit: Beyond Human’s android avatars. Henderson didn’t say much more than that, but he loved a lot of the tweets from fans who were wondering whether the picture indicated Quantic Dream was working on a Star Wars game.

Quantic Dream is working on a new action-adventure game, according to a job post seen on Hitmarker earlier this year, but nothing in the text supports Henderson’s assertion that it has anything to do with Star Wars.

As a Senior Writer, you’ll contribute to the creation of a Triple-AAA experience’s overarching story, from creating ideas and character arcs to fleshing out particular scenes and conversations. Our design philosophy is based on interaction, however individuals from non-interactive sectors who are eager to master the art are encouraged to apply.

Anyone who has played a Quantic Dream game should have a good sense of what a Star Wars game directed and written by David Cage, the company’s founder and CEO, would be like. While the bulk of the studio’s games have limited gameplay (for example, following basic on-screen instructions to start activities), they all excel at providing a dramatic and story-driven experience.
