Seagate Announces External HDDs for PlayStation, Including Horizon Forbidden West Model
Seagate announced that they have partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment to produce a line of external hard drives. This will allow users to store and transfer data from their existing PS4 consoles in the cloud, improving game performance due to faster loading speeds than internal HDDs.
Seagate has announced external HDDs for PlayStation, including the Horizon Forbidden West Model. The device is an external storage unit that will be compatible with PS4 and PS3 consoles.

The launching of a new series of external hard drives for the PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles has been announced by Seagate. There are two storage capacities available: 2 TB and 4 TB. The drives feature software that has been tuned for each version of USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) connections. The proposed costs vary depending on the model, ranging from $92.49 to $159.99.
These legally approved PlayStation console game drives are plug-and-play and take less than two minutes to install. Horizon Forbidden West variants in 2 TB and 5 TB sizes are also available as limited-edition editions. A one-year limited warranty is included with all models.

Seagate also teamed with Sony Interactive Entertainment and Guerrilla to deliver fans the Horizon Forbidden West Limited Edition Game Drive to honor the new Game Drive and the forthcoming release of the PS5 and PS4 game, Horizon Forbidden WestTM. The officially licensed collectable HDD, inspired by the open world of Horizon Forbidden West, has images on the outside of the drive that showcase the power and mystery of the Horizon Forbidden West hero, Aloy. The Game Drive, which comes in 2TB and 5TB sizes, allows gamers to save their PS5 and PS4 game libraries. Owners may also play PlayStation 4 games directly from the hard drive.

Seagate’s Game Drive retails for $92.49 (2TB) and $139.99 (4TB), with shipments beginning next month, while Horizon Forbidden West Limited Edition Game Drive retails for $99.99 (2TB) and $159.99, respectively (5TB).
