Where To Farm Mega-Potions in Kingdom Hearts (And KH1.5) –

The world of Kingdom Hearts has a lot going on. There are treasures to be found, Heartless that need slaying and plenty of places for players who want to spend their time in the game’s many worlds. But one particular item is incredibly difficult to find: Mega-Potions.

Where To Farm Mega-Potions in Kingdom Hearts (And KH1.5) –

Mega-Potions may be obtained from a variety of sources, such as Air Pirates, Aquatanks, Pirates, Search Ghosts, and others.

It may make sense to farm one of these foes for another drop item if you require one of these enemies for another drop item. However, if you just want a large number of Mega-Potions, I propose attempting to synthesis the potions rather than farming for them.

The reason for this is because you may be able to get all of the components to produce a number of these potions quicker than if you simply kept farming Heartless.

And, despite this, there isn’t a single shop in the game that sells Mega-Potions.

So you’re very much forced to farm in some capacity — either for potion drops or for synthesis ingredients to make your own.

But first, let’s take a look at all of your possibilities.

Drops of Mega Potion

There are a number of different Heartless throughout the game that have a possibility to drop a Mega-Potion (although a little one).

Some boss battles have a possibility to drop items, but they can’t be farmed.

Since it’s more about the opponents you want to farm than a “ideal position” for farming these potions as drops, you might try chasing down virtually any particular heartless.

However, your adversary alternatives are as follows:

Air Pirates: These high-flying pirates may be found in Neverland and Monstro, with a 1% chance of dropping a potion.

Aquatanks: You’ll recognize these creatures when you see them — the huge, angler-like beasts that lurk in Atlantica.

They’re a little tougher to get by, but they have a 4% chance of dropping a Mega-Potion.

Pirates: These people are more likely to be found in Neverland, however they can be found in both Neverland and Monstro.

They have a 1% chance of dropping a Mega-Potion with their regular loot.

Halloween Town, Monstro, Atlantica, and Traverse Town are all haunted by these terrifying animals (with a strange dangly eye…).

These creatures could be a fantastic option for farming since they’re plentiful in Traverse Town’s Second District. If you go inside the Traverse Town Hotel and look around some of the rooms, you should be able to locate lots of Search Ghosts to take out for drops.

They do have a 1% chance of dropping Mega-Potions, but you may equip your party with Lucky Strike to improve your chances.

Wight Knights: Another scary monster, wrapped in bandages this time.

These men may be seen roaming the streets of Halloween Town, and they only drop 0.5 percent of the time. So, unless you have a special need for anything from Halloween Town, they would be the worst foes to farm.

Mega-Potions Synthesis in the Original KH1 (For PS2)

If you’re playing the original Kingdom Hearts, you can make Mega Potions in the Moogle Shop. You’ll need List II, as well as the following materials:

x1 Blaze Gem: These gems may be obtained from the Bandit and Fat Bandit Heartless in Agrabah.

Check out the Cave of Wonders in Agrabah for more information. Take a look at our guide on cultivating Blaze Gems for more information.

x1 Frost Gem: We’re in Atlantica for these, since they can only be obtained from the Sea Neon or the Heartless of the Sheltering Zone.

These men are generally found immediately outside (or just inside) Triton’s Palace, and they’re quite simple to knock down. We also have a Frost Gems farming guide.

x1 Thunder Gem: Fortunately, Thunder Gems may be found with Frost Gems in Atlantica!

These are given forth by Aquatank and Screwdiver Heartless, who can also give out Mega-Potions. Isn’t it convenient?

And because each formula only requires one Thunder Gem, you won’t have to farm too many of them. If you need additional farming information on these gems, check out our more extensive guide.

x2 Mythril Shards: Agrabah’s streets, notably the Pot and Barrel Spider Heartless, are the greatest place to farm a large number of Mythril Shards.

Mega-Potions Synthesis in KH1.5 ReMIX

If you’re playing Kingdom Hearts 1.5 or Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, you’ll need List I as well as the following materials:

x1 Spirit Shard: These are fairly simple to get, since they drop from lots of locations & you can get them from Large Body Heartless and the Soldier Heartless (those little guys with the armor).

Agrabah is definitely your best option for a spot here. Simply running through the streets will reveal a slew of these foes. Take a look at our own method on stacking these shards as well.

x1 Power Shard: These are primarily obtained from Powerwild and Bouncywild Heartless, which spawn all around Deep Jungle.

However, if you go to Halloween Town and call Bambi for drops, you could have a better time farming them. Since each recipe only requires one Power Shard, any approach is good — but for more information on both, see our farming guide.

Personally, I like the Halloween Town approach, although any place is feasible. It’s your decision!

x4 Mythril Shards: As previously stated, they may be obtained from ordinary Pot and Barrel Spiders, as well as the Pot Scorpion Heartless, which is only available in Kingdom Hearts 1.5.

In either case, you’ll be acquiring them all from the streets of Agrabah.
