The official trailer for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, a new streaming series based on Christopher Pike’s time as captain of the USS Enterprise, has been published by Paramount. The program stars Anson Mount (Captain Christopher Pike), Rebecca Romijn (Number One), and Ethan Peck (Science Officer Spock) and takes place a decade before the original Star Trek series. On Thursday, May 5, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will be available to watch on Paramount+ in the United States, Latin America, Australia, and the Nordics.

Captain Christopher Pike commanded the USS Enterprise during the years depicted in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Fans will recognize Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock from season two of Star Trek: Discovery in the all-new series. Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock, and Number One will explore new planets across the galaxy in the years before Captain Kirk joined the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Jess Bush plays Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga, and recurrent guest performer Bruce Horak as Hemmer in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Akiva Goldsman wrote the series premiere, while the tale was written by Akiva Goldsman, Alex Kurtzman, and Jenny Lumet. Co-showrunners are Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers, with Goldsman directing the first episode. Along with Alonso Myers, Heather Kadin, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, and Aaron Baiers, Goldsman, Kurtzman, and Lumet serve as executive producers. CBS Studios, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment are the producers of the show.
