MK64 All Cups WR Highlights

The MK64 All Cups WR highlights the best moments from the latest tournament.

MK64 All Cups WR Highlights is a highlight reel of Mario Kart 64 Matthias 32/32.

Mario Kart 64 All Cups has finally seen a new fastest time after more than 14 months. To improve on such a great time on the board, it will require a lot of effort, commitment, and maybe even a few miracles. Abney317 beat his previous world record time of 25m 46s 940ms (recorded in real time) by almost 10 seconds on July 13th, 2018, with a timing of 25m 36s 230ms!

Due to the fact that it uses everything it can to move quicker — skips, wall leaps, glitches, etc. — this run is commonly referred to as All Cups (Skips), or occasionally 150cc Skips. Though the second All Cups category, All Cups (No Skips), allows for certain small shortcuts like cutting over grass or sand, as well as planned shortcuts like the tunnel in Koopa Troopa Beach, it is unable to utilize any of the bigger, accidental skips.

Going quicker may entail taking more risks, relying on the correct things more, and having a lot of backup strategies. Though the whole run is worth seeing, let’s take a look at some of the most amazing and unexpected moments.

The run had been going strong leading up to the Kalimari Desert, but it’s in the desert when the first “We’ve got a run” truly kicks in. Abney obtains his ideal item combination of three red shells and a star, enabling him this composition. While he’s in the tunnel, keep an eye on his lap count.

Abney’s run was almost in vain on the following level, Toad’s Turnpike, when one of the opponents used a lightning bolt. He barely scrapes by owing to the fact almost half of the race is bypassed using an out of bounds move. Let’s have a look at the frame-by-frame before we display the video… It’s worth watching, not only because we like the term Frame.

And here’s how it looked on the run, complete with response!

He’s a good 17 seconds ahead of WR at this point, but the advantage starts to fade over the following two courses. Due to a track skip failure between laps 2 and 3, Choco Mountain may have been the weakest spot in the race. Abney was able to make up for the lost time with two lightning-fast backups, putting him far ahead of schedule and on track to break the world mark.

The following stop was Mario Raceway, where you should be able to pick up three red shells right away, but it is doubtful. A twitch user pledged a subscription if the unlikely happened. They did, in fact, keep their word! Abney lucked out with the ideal item drop. On an amazing run like this one, it’s going to happen with enough runs. For investing in the many hours of honing his skill and then clutching out the three skips, a well-deserved stroke of luck.

It’s not one of the more anticipated moments of the race, but it’s an intriguing one. Abney takes a more cautious approach at Royal Raceway, playing less aggressively than usual. In the end, he gets a mushroom and saves himself a significant amount of time towards the conclusion of the third lap.

The following video speaks for itself. It’s a “insanely excellent DK,” as Abney puts it. This technique is incredibly precise, and pulling it off under such duress is remarkable in and of itself, but much more so when done so effectively. It all comes together with the climb back to the top with the mushroom and passing across the finish line.

Finally, on the last level of the run, when the stakes are the greatest, Abney opts for a smaller skip at the start of the run. He, on the other hand, left himself up to catastrophe by not going for it. He takes over the edge of the track after the initial launch, and he needs to acquire the proper object to complete his destiny. Take a look:

Other amazing moments may be found during this run, but we won’t display them all here; instead, we’ll direct you to the record on his twitch channel so you can check it out for yourself. Take a look at his page and give him a follow. He invests his heart and soul into achieving his objectives.
