How To Get More Potions in Kingdom Hearts (And KH1.5) –
The Kingdom Hearts franchise is a large, expansive series and the gameplay can be very daunting for newcomers. This guide will teach you how to get more potions in Kingdom Hearts 1.5!
Regular Potions may be purchased at the Item Shop in Traverse Town in Kingdom Hearts 3. Dewey (in the blue shirt) sells them for 25 Munny apiece, and later in the game, the price rises to 60 Munny (this is when you can buy Hi-Potions too).
The Item Shop in the First District is by far the easiest way to get more, since Potions are really cheap & the Item Shop is accessible for basically the entire game.
Potions may be dropped by Air Soldiers, Bandits, Soldiers, and frequently harvested from particular barrels in Deep Jungle if you want to save some money (yes, just regular barrels).
So the best place to farm for Potion drops is probably in Deep Jungle, because believe it or not, the barrels in the Treehouse & at the Campsite have a 20% chance to contain a potion.
And you can visit Deep Jungle really early in a playthrough. So you could technically land there, farm the barrels for any drops, then leave & re-land again to keep farming them.
Another reason Deep Jungle might be beneficial is because breaking these barrels is rather simple, allowing you to complete the procedure fast.
Not to mention the fact that you may be saving your money for anything else (like weapons or accessories). In that situation, harvesting Potion drops from empty barrels can be worthwhile.
But, just in case you really want to stock up on 99 Potions without spending all your munny, let’s take a closer look at where else they may drop.
Where Can I Find Potion Drops?
There are a bunch of Heartless that have a slight chance of dropping a Potion.
Because potions are a low-tier healing item that’s usually utilized early in the game, it’s probably better to simply battle a variety of different monsters to earn munny instead of attempting to farm them.
If you’re a tightwad, though, you do have some options:
Air Soldiers: These goggled-up nasties may be seen soaring about Traverse Town, Agrabah, Monstro, Wonderland, and Hollow Bastion.
Potions have a 2% chance of dropping, so it’s not like they’re rare.
In reality, any heartless with the ability to drop Potions only have a 2% chance of doing so!
Keep an eye out for these criminals with razor-sharp blades.
They may be found in Agrabah and Monstro, with a 2% chance of dropping Potions.
Soldiers: These are the traditional armor-clad opponents you initially encountered in Traverse Town on your first visit.
They may also be found in Wonderland, Agrabah, Monstro, and Hollow Bastion, among other places.
They do, however, have a 2% chance of dropping Potions.
Barrels in Deep Jungle: Okay, so this isn’t quite a “enemy,” but there are a variety of Barrels strewn over the area in Deep Jungle.
If you really wanted to farm, I’d recommend visiting this world. The barrels in the Treehouse and at the Camp have a 20% chance of carrying a Potion, so if you really wanted to farm, I’d recommend hitting this world.
One way you can do this is to land at a save spot (either near the Tree House or at the Camp) and then head out swinging for these barrels. Pick up any drops you get, then go back to the save spot to leave the world & then disembark in the exact same spot.
It’ll be laborious, but this is one approach to farm early – particularly if you’re short on munny or want to conserve it for something else.
