This acquisition is expected to create higher profits and give Disney control over some of the fastest-growing entertainment properties in TV, film and video games. The only problem? It also raises antitrust concerns.,

Another week, another flood of news about Disney crashing and burning. Walt must be rolling in his grave right now. Let’s get started!

Due of a Covid Surge in China, a Shanghai resort has closed.

Due to a rise in Covid-19, China’s Shanghai Disney resort has been again shuttered. Because China is adopting a “zero-tolerance” policy, the park was forced to shut. This is bad news for Disney, which relies heavily on Chinese currency.

Rachel Zegler gets snubbed by Disney at the Oscars.

Yes, Disney and the Academy Awards failed to invite Rachel Zegler, the star of the West Side Story remake, or Woke Side Story. Rachel even said on Instagram that although the rejection was disheartening, she was still proud of her film. Rachel is presently shooting the live-action adaptation of Disney’s Snow White, in which she will play the title role.

Brie Larson is being snubbed by her fans.

Brie Larson just tweeted about NFTs and the Metaverse, and her followers aren’t happy. Take a look at the video below!

Bob Chapek Is Tired Of Bob Iger

Disney’s CEO, Bob Chapek, is no longer interacting with previous CEO Bob Iger, thus it seems to be “Bob versus. Bob.” This is attributable to a number of factors.

To begin, Iger postponed his retirement to “address the COVID epidemic.” Iger had hand-picked Chapek to take his position, but Chapek is enraged that he remained longer than expected.

Second, Iger recently stood out against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay Bill,” which contains no mention of the term “gay.” Employees at Disney have chastised Chapek for not taking a stand as Iger has.

A Follow-Up To “Don’t Say Gay Bill”

Disney is still outraged by Florida’s new law, and has come out to say that they are once again pro LGBT+ on social media. The bulk of the comments on their Facebook post criticize Disney for becoming involved in politics without even reading the law.

To add to the intrigue, a Democratic fundraiser in Florida has been canceled owing to “backlash” over the new measure. The Democratic Party will now look for a new date and location for Leadership Blue.

However, it isn’t all doom and gloom; many Disney workers signed an open letter requesting that the company remain politically neutral. Employees and Disney customers just want to be entertained, not taught or preached to.

Remake… of a Remake… for Less by the Dozen

That’s correct, Cheaper By The Dozen has been redone… once again! What a unique idea. The marriage is now bi-racial, making it highly progressive, and if you don’t like it, you’re a racist, according to Disney+. It’s finally over. Goodbye.

Even though the title indicates “twelve,” there are 10 youngsters in this film. Why are you using this title in the first place? Is Disney concerned that if a famous film isn’t remade, no one would bother to see it since they know it won’t be good? “It’s a ruse!” exclaims the narrator. The title is intended to entice you in. This trailer makes it seem more like a remake of the 1968 classic Yours, Mine, and Ours.

Because the film is so politically charged, the dogs are dubbed “Bark Obama and Joe Biten.” Woof.

Texas vs. Disney

Disney chose to reject Texas Governor Abbott’s “order to investigate anyone conducting certain sex-change procedures or therapies on youngsters” because it isn’t Disney if they aren’t shoving their excessively enormous nose in other people’s business.

Disney’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Paul Richardson, announced:

“Because of our presence in Texas, we’ve signed on to the Human Rights Campaign’s letter condemning the Texas law that criminalizes parents who offer gender affirming[sic] care for their transgender children.”

Star Wars

Deborah Chow, the director of Obi-Wan Kenobi, has said that Darth Vader is not as strong as he seems in A New Hope. It doesn’t make any sense at all. Virginia’s article may be seen here.
