An Exploding Kittens TV Show From Beavis & Butthead and Parks & Rec Creators is Coming to Netflix

18 April 2022 – An Exploding Kittens TV show is coming to Netflix, it was revealed today. It will be an animated program, and the talent involved in it is incredible. The program will premiere next year.

The announcement was first revealed by Hollywood trade journal Deadline, which released all the facts when the series was ordered by Netflix, where it would be streamed globally.

The everlasting war between heaven and hell reaches epic dimensions when both God and the devil are transported to Earth in the bodies of chubby domestic cats in Exploding Kittens.

Tom Ellis (Lucifer), Abraham Lim (The Boys), Lucy Liu (Elementary), Ally Maki (Wrecked), Mark Proksch (What We Do in the Shadows), and Sasheer Zamata are among the voice actors (Woke).

As amazing as that voice cast is, you need to look at the producers on this because that amount of talent coming together here is rare. The two names that first jump out, because they are of the most prolific showrunners of our generation, are Mike Judge (Beavis & Butthead, King of the Hill, Silicon Valley) and Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks & Recreation, Upload). Then you have producer powerhouse and founder of The Chernin Group, Peter Chernin who just gets good products done.

There is a natural synergy between The Chernin Group and The Chernin Group, a bigger media and other holdings firm. Their portfolio includes the publisher Exploding Kittens (yep, the same name as the game). “Exploding Kittens is a portfolio firm controlled by vehicles managed by TCG,” according to its website.

Shane Kosakowski (You’re the Worst, Teenage Bounty Hunters) and Matthew Inman, who was a creative consultant on Secret Life of Pets 2 and is the founder of publisher Exploding Kittens, will be the showrunner producers for the new Exploding Kittens TV Show, who will be the creative drivers and run the day to day.

“We initially founded Exploding Kittens on Kickstarter as a weekend project, but our community has been the heart and soul of the business for the last six years,” said Exploding Kittens’ current Chief Creative Officer Matthew Inman. Our fans will be able to engage and participate with the brand in new ways thanks to the new series and game.”

All of this seems to be a winning package and maybe a franchise starter. Thanks to Deadline for the tip; the outlet also revealed that an Exploding Kittens mobile game is in the works. Stranger Things: 1984, Shooting Hoops, and Card Blast are among the Netflix games available.

Other games Exploding Kittens (publisher) games include: Throw Throw Burrito, A Little Wordy, Poetry for Neanderthals, A Game of Cat & Mouth, You’ve Got Crabs, Tacocat Spelled Backwards and more.
