A comprehensive and (hopefully) full list of everything that will be going away with Witch Queen
Witch Queen has been released and with it, a new style of game play. With the recent changes to how games are made, many big names in gaming will be going away as well. I want to compile a comprehensive list of all that is changing for gamers and developers alike!
The “destiny 2 witch queen release date” is a comprehensive list of everything that will be going away with the Witch Queen update. The article also includes the new features and changes coming to the game.
This list was originally intended for a post, however it was suggested that it be expanded into its own post. The following is a list of all material, weapons, activities, and victories that will be removed with the release of Witch Queen. I haven’t typed up every single success since they’re all in the game, and there’s a complete list of expired victories on the website.
braytech.org. I think this covers everything and is right, but please feel free to add to it or correct me, and I’ll update the thread as needed.
Forsaken
- The whole of the Forsaken campaign, as well as any associated material. This will feature insignia such as the Mindbender baron hunt’s secret one:
- Any victories involving the Tangled Shore. This includes any Triumphs linked to the Destination’s three possible strikes, as well as the Legend and Master Lost Sectors.
- The Wish-Ender Quest will be completed, but the Shattered Throne will remain.
- Because Etheric Spirals are Tangled Shore material, they will most likely vanish, therefore save them until they can be traded in for anything and get rid of them.
The Hunting Season
- The title of Warden, as well as all victories in the Cryptolith Lure and Wrathborn Hunts. Hunting with seasonal armour on and slaying bosses and monsters with special weapons are notable achievements.
- The Harbinger task for attaining Hawkmoon and all accompanying triumphs, including the solo flawless, is run with Hawkmoon being used by all three guardians. Because the hidden feathers victory is on a three-week cycle, I assume today is the final day to begin collecting them. As of WQ, Xur will begin selling Hawkmoon, although it will be expensive to acquire.
- Leviathan’s Breath’s catalyst development. It’s possible there’s another method, but it’s an absurd number of kills without it, and it takes like 10 runs to pick the catalyst progression quest.
- The High Celebrant mission’s Fourth Mark ship. Can be farmed by slotting lure modifications into the job and then unslotting them to avoid wasting them. Make sure you wait until you are auto-taken to orbit at the conclusion of the mission.
- All The Hunting Season weapons, assuming the Umbral Engram system changes, though none of them are particularly meta defining. Deafening Whisper is a wave frame GL which we don’t have any others of I believe, so may be worth grabbing.
Season of the Chosen (Season of the Chosen)
- The Chosen title, as well as all victories relating to the War Table and Battlegrounds, will remain, albeit Battlegrounds will be renamed ‘Vanguard Ops’ and placed in the Vanguard strike playlist. Triumphs do mention that they’ll expire at the conclusion of Season 15, so if you’re concerned, I’d get them done sooner rather than later. Playing all Battlegrounds without dying, which must be started from the playlist node, and doing Battlegrounds in seasonal armour are two notable examples.
- The Presage quest is required to get Dead Man’s Tale and any associated Triumphs. Lockouts have been eliminated, allowing you to obtain a lore page from every run instead of once a week, and the clues discovered is also accessible to complete more often than once a week now, although you’d have to start today if that isn’t the case and you haven’t made any progress so far. As of WQ, Xur will begin selling DMT, although it will be expensive to acquire.
- All Season of the Chosen (Season of the Chosen) weapons, again assuming changes to Umbrals. A number of very good weapons to grab here, including the Extraordinary Rendition SMG and Threaded Needle Linear Fusion. Far Future is a good sniper, but just can’t roll with Snapshot, but with upcoming changes to snipers it may be worth trying to grab one, and the Code Duello is also a good rocket that can roll with decent perks on.
The Splicer’s Season
- All victories linked to Override and Expunge, as well as the Splicer title. Today is the final day that the Override: Last City will be accessible (unless it is changed to a daily rotation), which is essential to complete the plot and victories. Wearing seasonal armour and utilizing seasonal weaponry, as well as avoiding dying in the final Override mission, are all significant achievements. It’s worth mentioning that completing this questline earns you an Ascendant Shard.
- All The Splicer’s Season weapons, of which there are a lot of good ones again. Ignition Code is a great GL that can roll with some fantastic perks, as can the Chroma Rush AR. Sojourner’s Tale is a good slug shotgun with the right perks too, and the Gridskipper is a pretty good rapid fire Pulse.
The Lost Seasons
- All victories linked to Astral Alignment and the Shattered Realm, as well as the title of Realmwalker. SR is now rotated on a daily basis to allow for the cleaning of accomplishments. With the different hidden chests and data caches, there’s a lot of gathering to be done. Collecting a large number of ascendant anchors, slaying monsters in seasonal armour, completing Legend and Flawless AA, and obtaining the Ascendancy decorations are all notable achievements.
- The quest and catalyst for the Ager’s Scepter, however I assume the catalyst will be added to the global treasure pool next season. If you haven’t already, get it immediately because it’s fantastic.
- All The Lost Seasons weapons, none of which are particularly meta defining. Fractethyst and Vulpecula stand out as Stasis weapons that can roll with some fun perks like Harmony and Headstone, but they’re not going to be something you’ll really regret missing out on, and with the addition of Eyasluna, which can also roll Headstone, I’m not really hunting for either.
General
- As of WQ, Banshee will no longer take Gunsmith Materials, so use them all now. Cartesian Co-ordinate, First In, Last Out, any of the Ikelos weapons in case Warmind Cells are ever boosted again, notably the SMG and Auto imo, Truthteller, and Gnawing Hunger are some firearms to try and obtain before they go away.
- The Sola’s Scar sword and the Igneous Hammer hand cannon are both being cycled out if you care about Trials loot. With certain engrams, it’s simple to get one from Saint.
- The Uzume was last week for nightfalls and can no longer be attained, with the exception of a change in the previous two weeks. Today is the last day to receive the Swarm, after which you’ll be able to grab Shadow Price at reset, with Hung Jury appearing in the last week of the season. These four weapons will be deleted, but the rest of the weaponry will remain, with the exception of two D2Y1 weapons that will return.
- There will be four Iron Banner weapons, including the Multimach CCX, a superb SMG. In addition, the Time-Worn Spire Pulse, Steady Hand Hand Cannon, and Guiding Sight Scout will be present. In the last week of the season, there will be an Iron Banner, so aim to get these weapons then.
- When WQ releases, all engrams from all Tower Vendors will be gone, so be sure to claim them, even if it’s only for the shards and materials.
I think that’s all; I’m sure there’s something I’ve forgotten, but that’s pretty much everything from my own thoughts and what I could discover.
