Happy’s Humble Burger Farm is a new game released on the Google Play Store. The game has been reviewed by many different people and most of them have given it a positive review.
Happy’s Humble Burger Farm was a fun little horror indie beta that was doing the rounds on YouTube a long time ago. Happy’s was picked up by tinyBuild to be launched after gaining popularity with The Game Theorists, Markiplier, and others. Yes, the same delightful publisher behind other bizarre games like Hello Neighbor/Hello Guest and Hello Puppet, which are popular on the same channels. Happy’s is a really strange game, but that’s good. It depicts the genuine horrors of the fast food business (well, not really).

Happy’s Humble Burger Farm has evolved significantly since its beta release, although not in terms of gameplay, visuals, or any other distinguishing characteristics. To be honest, if you only glanced at the beta, you’d think you’d be receiving the same game. Instead, it reminds me of Hello Neighbor. The beta was a starting point, but things have since altered. Remember how the neighbor’s home in Hello Neighbor started as little and eventually grew? That’s very much what occurred here as well.
To give you a quick overview, you’re an employee at Happy’s Humble Burger Farm, a modest fast food joint where you’ll have nightmares about working, as seen by the game’s beginning. Strange things happen at the restaurant and in the city where you reside. You stroll from your flat to the restaurant where you’ll be working the night shift. There’s a bus, but it’d be too handy, and it’d offer you an excuse to skip the important parts of the tale. Strange occurrences happen throughout the night, such as lights turning off and doors opening and closing. Basically, all you have to do is take care of a few nighttime duties and serve clients till your shift ends. It’s that simple.
What’s going on, dude? Why are you gazing at me all the time?
Things immediately go bad, though: you’ll have to battle a big deformed pig, converse to disembodied heads, and deal with other horrors during your shift that presumably no one else sees. Strange shadow guys that think it’s amusing to switch off your grill, and objects that explode and send your patties flying. It’s very standard stuff. Basically, the concept is that this is a strange indie “horror” game that isn’t frightening at all, not even the jump scares. It’s just bizarre.
It seems that being a TinyBuild game comes with certain expectations. To begin with, the game does not seem to be that appealing. Indie games include titles such as Undertale, Cuphead, and Celeste, which, unlike Horizon or Halo Infinite, do not include massive, high-fidelity, AAA-level visuals. Happy’s Humble Burger Farm, on the other hand, is unattractive. Not at all. It’s unappealing to look at, both technically and artistically. The character designs aren’t smooth at all; the cheeks and skull are both highly pointed, which looks odd.

Happy’s has very little sound. Outside of the disembodied head, the characters don’t sound amazing, they don’t converse, and they merely make minimum sounds. For some inexplicable reason, this disembodied head speaks, although the audio recording quality is far from optimum. That said, it’s a lot better than the other characters’ groans and moans, when the gain was set far up and the mics were plainly peaking, yet no one noticed.
To cut a long tale short, Happy’s Humble Burger Farm is a peculiar game that has only become stranger since its test period. It may have gotten a little crazier, but it didn’t get any better. The visual quality is a disaster; it just doesn’t seem right. The audio quality is considerably worse, with a severe absence of music and voice work, but what little is in here is terrible; someone seems to have turned everything up to eleven and believed it would just work. This game may have been overhyped by streamers, but it’s one you should steer clear of.
