Bladepoint Update Introduces Wuchen, the Mystic Daoist
A new update has been released for the free-to-play MOBA Bladepoint, introducing three new female characters and a brand new character type: the mystic daoist. The Mystic Daoist is a support class that wields ancient knowledge to manipulate her adversaries’ mindsets or freeze time.
The “Bladepoint Update Introduces Wuchen, the Mystic Daoist” is a new update for Bladepoint which introduces a new hero, Wuchen. The update also includes some changes to the game’s UI and other minor tweaks.
The newest update for Naraka: Bladepoint, NetEase’s famous free-to-play action-adventure battle royale, is in the works. As a consequence, servers will be unavailable for four hours on Wednesday, January 19, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. The new update contains brand-new content such as a new hero called Wuchen, map upgrades, the return of Modes with a Limited Time Limit, and the Spring Festival Greeting event, among other things.
Wuchen: Bladepoint Naraka
Wuchen, a Mystic Daoist, is Bladepoint’s new hero, according to Naraka. Here’s how the new hero is described in the patch notes:
Wuchen was formerly reviled for his mixed lineage, having the blood of both ordinary mortals and Heralds coursing through his veins. That is, until he started training under Omnius, the head of the Heralds. Wuchen was consumed by a fire from the laborious, painful years he had undergone. They inspired him to work harder and discover the secrets of heaven and earth. Wuchen is certain about one thing: he is the only one who has the capacity to break free from the bonds of this planet.
Along with the new hero, the map will have all-new locales such as ‘Breezy Made’ and ‘Dragonspine Yard,’ as well as new architecture and natural landscapes.
Modes with a Limited Time Limit
Additionally, two Modes with a Limited Time Limit are returning: Shadow Surge and Eternal Blazed. The former, Shadow Surge, is available from January 24 through February 3 with some updates. The number of Soul Atars has increased, players start with two different random melee weapons (instead of six), and defeated players now drop Soulbloom Essence.
When Shadow Surge expires on February 3 until February 13, the latter mode, Eternal Blazes, will be accessible. The mode is also back with a few tweaks. Instead of obtaining three random ranged weapons in the previous edition, players now receive Pistols, Bows, Cannons, Repeating Crossbows, and Muskets. Souljades and Rift Dealer products are valued according to their power, while Dark Tide Coins are dropped by vanquished opponents. The maximum party size in Eternal Blazes has been increased to three from two, while the fight map size has been reduced. Finally, in this mode, any hero may be chosen, but two will be banned at random in each game.
Special Occasions
Two new Special Occasions are also on the horizon: Spring Vitality and Nature of Taoism.
Spring Vitality is divided into two rounds, with the first running from January 24 to February 5 and the second from February 5 to February 13. Players may pick a high-grade prize and earn Firecrackers by completing daily objectives during this event. During each round, turn in the Firecrackers for event goodies.
From January 20 to January 26, Nature of Taoism will be available for purchase. Spirit Charms may be earned by performing event missions and then exchanged for fantastic event goodies.
On Steam, you can find the whole Naraka: Bladepoint January 20 update log and patch notes.
